Morag Ballard (British b. 1961)

Morag Ballard is an artist based in West Cornwall whose work has close affinities with the St Ives School’s textural interpretations of Constructivism. She studied at the Chelsea School of Art, at Corsham, and in Italy, before setting up her first studio in Scotland. Now based in Penzance, her major influences include Naum Gabo, Peter Lanyon, and John Wells; an abiding interest is in the relations between two and three dimensional forms and space. She has exhibited at the Pallant House Gallery in Chichester, as well as having had numerous solo exhibitions.
